HOLLY WILLOUGHBY LAUNCHES SEARCH TO FIND MOST MISCHIEVOUS KITTEN IN BRITAIN

With 22% of households owning a cat, they’re one of the most popular pets in Britain and an exciting new competition that launches today is set to appeal to our feline-friendly nation. FELIX Kitten Factor is a search to find the most mischievous kitten in the UK and for every entry FELIX will be donating £1 to the UK’s leading feline charity, Cats Protection.

TV presenter Holly Willoughby is launching the FELIX Kitten Factor. It’s a campaign that is close to her heart as she grew up with rehomed cats. “My cat, Roxie, is such a mischievous little rascal,” she said. “I have a feeling that she secretly rules my home when I'm not around! I expect the entries that come into the FELIX Kitten Factor will show that I am not alone in the feeling of companionship a cat can give. Plus, the money raised for Cats Protection is great – it’s brilliant that such a fun, light-hearted campaign will also help find loving homes for less fortunate kittens.”

The money raised from FELIX Kitten Factor will help fund the Cats Protection first ever Homing Centre. Jane Wickens, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Cats Protection said, “This month alone we have 1,600 kittens who need a caring and loving home. This campaign is a great way to raise awareness of these loveable and entertaining little rascals and the money raised will be invaluable. We will use it to help build a great temporary home for many kittens and cats until they move on to a permanent home.”

The winning kitten will be made famous with his/her picture featuring on FELIX Kitten multipacks to be sold nationwide. Plus, he/she will also receive a year’s supply of FELIX food, which will help him/her grow from a mischievous kitten into a playful cat; 11 runners up will also receive three months’ supply.

To enter your fun-loving fur ball, visit www.catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief and upload a picture of the cheeky little kitten with a couple of sentences explaining why he or she should win. Alternatively, post the entry to “FELIX Kitten Factor”, Clarion Communications, The Griffin Building, 83 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5AR. The competition closes on 28th June 2009. Full Terms and Conditions are available on the website.
